Two thousand years ago, garum fish sauce was the most precious fish-based sauce and one of the main products traded from Hispania during the Roman Empire. The garum produced in Cartagena and the Mar Menor had a great reputation in Ancient Rome. Salazones Garre developed an author's recreation to adapt this mythical sauce to the taste of today's consumers and prepared this tasty sauce by grating ling, hake and cod roes that are mixed with organic EVOO. This garum fish sauce is delicious and can be used to enhance the marine flavor of the meal. With a tablespoon, it provides a special touch to tapas, salads, croquettes, fish, meat and vegetable dishes, rice, pasta and pizza.
